Happy Flag Day!

Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States, and it's an opportunity to remember where it came from and what it stands for.

President Harry S. Truman said it best when he signed Flag Day into law on June 14, 1949:

“This beloved emblem, which flies above all our people of whatever creed or race, signalizes our respect for human rights and the protection such rights are afforded under our form of government.”

Happy Flag Day!
